My dear Lawford,
Sterndale Bennett asked
me whether we had any knowledge of what happened when the Prime Minister saw General Hurley last week. I accordingly asked Mr. Churchill who has dictated the attached note on the subject.
I am sending a copy of this letter and of the note to Thornley at the Colonial Office.
